A flamenco tribute to the Women Poets of the 27 Generation, by Angelita Montoya
On March 8th, as part of International Women’s Day, we invite you to enjoy a unique experience that honors the female voices that marked Spain’s literary history, yet were silenced for being creators. For this occasion, Angelita Montoya will bring her powerful flamenco singing, giving voice to the women poets of the Generation of ’27—authors whose work has not received the attention it deserves, yet who undoubtedly had a profound impact on the literature and culture of their time.
A journey through Flamenco and poetry
Recovering some songs from her album “Versos olvidados” (Forgotten Verses), Angelita Montoya brings back the memory of these poets, who with bravery and talent, tackled universal themes such as identity, freedom, and the fight for equality. Flamenco, as a deeply expressive art form filled with emotion, will be the perfect vehicle to transmit the essence of these forgotten voices, taking us to a space where the singing becomes a tribute to memory and art in equality.
Two exclusive sessions to enjoy the show
The event will take place in two exclusive sessions on March 8th:
Session 1: 19:00h
Session 2: 21:00h
Both sessions will offer an incomparable experience, where you will not only enjoy Angelita Montoya’s flamenco singing, but also have the opportunity to share a unique dinner, reflecting on the legacy of these writers and their contribution to equality, while enjoying an evening filled with art, emotion, and culture.
If you wish to be part of this tribute, don’t hesitate to book your tickets. Make sure to get your tickets as soon as possible to enjoy this unique experience.
