On December 7th and 13th, we will have a special performance during our usual showtimes at 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, bringing to the stage the famous and exciting Zambombas from Jerez.
During this special evening, in addition to enjoying the magic of flamenco, we will offer anisette and typical Christmas sweets, so you can truly savor the essence of this festive celebration. It’s the perfect occasion to share a good time in an intimate and exclusive setting.
This unique tradition dates back to ancient times, when women would gather in shared kitchens in communal homes to prepare pestiños and other sweets, while the neighbors would sing to entertain them during their work.
The Zambomba from Jerez
Originally, these festivities were celebrated on Christmas Eve and would continue into the early morning, when the housewife would retire for a short nap before beginning the preparations for Christmas lunch. Over time, the Zambombas became more institutionalized, and after a period of decline, they are now promoted by neighborhood associations, flamenco clubs, educational centers, and other organizations.
