Performances at La Cantaora

Dancer and choreographer Patricia Ibáñez was born in Jerez de la Frontera, the cradle of flamenco. She began her artistic journey at the age of five, performing at the Villamarta Theatre under the guidance of Cristóbal “El Jerezano.” Her natural talent led her to train with renowned maestros such as Juan Parra, Ana María López, and other great flamenco artists. Under Ana María López’s mentorship, she joined the group “Semilla Flamenca,” participating in tours like the 1991 “Difusión del Flamenco” and performing internationally at events such as Expo-92 and in cities like Marseille and Paris.

Her education expanded through specialized courses with iconic figures like Carmen Cortés, Eva “La Hierbabuena,” Farruquito, Juana Amaya, Belén Maya, and Antonio “El Pipa,” who later included her in his company. With this company, Patricia dazzled in international tours, performing on legendary stages such as New York’s City Center and in festivals across the Americas, Europe, and Morocco.

She has collaborated with prominent flamenco figures such as Paco Cepero and Sara Baras and was a member of the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía under the direction of Cristina Hoyos. Patricia has also shone as a soloist in renowned festivals such as the Fiesta de la Bulería, the Suma Flamenca, and the Festival de Jerez, cementing her reputation as a leading figure in contemporary flamenco dance.

Throughout her career, Patricia has received prestigious awards, including First Prize at the National Dance Contest for Alegrías and the Copa Jerez, awarded by the Jerez Flamenco Chair. She has brought her art to countries like Japan, Germany, Canada, Sudan, Qatar, and the Dominican Republic, excelling both as a performer and teacher, offering international flamenco workshops and leaving her mark on the genre’s most important stages.

Since 2017, Patricia has combined her artistic career with directing her dance school in the flamenco district of Santiago, Jerez de la Frontera. There, she trains the next generation of dancers while continuing to perform in prestigious tablaos like La Casa del Flamenco and El Arenal in Seville. Her dedication and passion for flamenco have made her a true ambassador of this art form, recognized both in Spain and abroad.

Tolle Show! Die Tänzer und Sänger haben eine super Stimmung erzeugt. Sie tanzen und singen mit Leidenschaft. Da wir im Februar hier waren, waren nicht viele Tische belegt. Trotzdem eine coole Erfahrung

Attending La Cantaora Tablao Flamenco Show in Seville was an absolute highlight of my trip! From the moment the performers took the stage, I was completely captivated by their raw passion, incredible talent, and electrifying energy. Each artist—whether singer, dancer, or guitarist—delivered a breathtaking performance that radiated authenticity and emotion. What truly sets this show apart is its intimate setting, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the magic of flamenco without feeling like you're in a tourist trap. Even without understanding the language, the music and expression spoke volumes—the power, intensity, and joy of flamenco transcend words. I was completely blown away by the artistry and emotion on display. If you’re looking for a genuine, unforgettable flamenco experience in Seville, La Cantaora is an absolute must. Highly recommended!
