Born in Cádiz, he has been known by the nickname “El Picuo” since childhood. At the young age of 18, he traveled to Japan with artists Andrés Peña, Isabel López, and Mercedes Ruíz.
Throughout his professional career, he has worked in various prestigious venues such as “Las Carboneras,” “Casa Patas,” or “El Corral de la Morería,” combining it with tours alongside flamenco companies like Cristina Hoyos, Manuel Liñán, Olga Pericet, or Marcos Flores.
In 2005, he participated in the show “Una mirada del flamenco” alongside the dancer Rafaela Carrasco, presenting the work at the Festival de Jerez, the New World Flamenco Festival, and the Royal Albert Hall in London, among other stages.
It’s also worth noting his participation in the Seville Biennial with the acclaimed Belén Maya and her show “Dibujos.”
