Joselito Acedo was born in the Triana neighborhood of Seville, the son of guitarist José Acedo. From a very young age, he received lessons from his father and his uncle, Rafael Riqueni.
A composer, performer, musical director, and producer, he is a key figure in the creation and production of instrumental flamenco music.
A multifaceted artist, his career has included collaborations with renowned artists such as Lole Montoya, Remedios Amaya, Manuel Molina, La Susi, Antonia “La Negra,” La Tremendita, and Rosalía, for whom he arranged the tangos “Juro Que” (2020).
He has produced works such as “Parque de María Luisa” by Riqueni (2017), “Homenaje” by Carmelilla Montoya (2011), “Alba Molina canta a Lole y Manuel” (2016), “Caminando con Manuel” (2017), and “Para Lole y Manuel” by Alba Molina (2019). He has also composed music for stage productions like “Alas de recuerdo” by María Moreno and “Debajo de los pies” by Eduardo Guerrero.
In 2015, he self-produced his debut album “Andando”, which was nominated for Best Flamenco Album at the Latin Grammy Awards and the MIN Independent Music Awards.
In 2021, he released his latest album Triana D.F. (Distrito Flamenco), a tribute to the Triana neighborhood.
