Adolfo Vega
Performances at La Cantaora
Born in Seville, in the popular neighborhood of Triana, he began his artistic journey at the Real Conservatorio de Sevilla, studying Spanish Classical Dance. His flamenco training was under renowned masters such as Manolo Marín, Manuel Corrales “El Mimbre,” Mario Maya, and José Galván. During his training, he performed at major tablaos in the city, including El Arenal, Los Gallos, and El Patio Sevillano.
Later, he moved to Madrid, where he continued his studies at El Corral de la Morería and Casa Patas, learning from masters like Ciro, Guito, and Goyo Montero. Throughout his career, he has been part of various flamenco companies, including those of Javier Barón, Manolo Marín, and Mario Maya, participating in numerous Bienales de Flamenco de Sevilla and traveling to many countries.
On an international level, he has toured Europe, Japan, and the United States, sharing the stage with prominent artists such as Alejandro Granados, Yolanda Heredia, Manolo Marín, María Benítez, and Carlota Santana. Additionally, he has taught flamenco as a master at the Fundación Mario Maya’s school in La Chumbera, Granada, and has conducted courses and seminars in various academies across Greece, Japan, the Netherlands, Italy, and France.
His participation in the Gran Festival Flamenco de Mont-de-Marsan alongside Belén Maya, Soraya Clavijo, and Miguel de Badajoz stands out among his many collaborations. Between 2008 and 2010, he toured England with the Flamenca Jaleo company.
Adolfo spent several years residing in Greece, working on various theatrical productions. Currently, he is part of the artistic ensemble of Carmen Linares in productions such as Antología del Cante and Remembranza, performing at theaters and flamenco and dance festivals. In Seville, he continues to work at the city’s most renowned flamenco tablaos.
