Claudia la Debla

Performances at La Cantaora

Claudia Calle García (b. 2005) is a young flamenco dancer who has been captivating audiences since the age of six. Her innate talent and deep connection to flamenco have made her one of the most promising artists of her generation.

In 2016, a video of her dancing a seguiriya at Peña La Platería went viral, reaching over 9 million views in just five months, propelling her to international recognition. Since then, she has participated in numerous festivals, sharing the stage with renowned flamenco artists. Notable performances include the Festival de Cante Jondo de La Puebla de Cazalla, Flamencos y Mestizos alongside Israel Fernández, the Festival de la Abadía with José del Tomate, and the Festival de Cante Jondo de Jódar with Jesús Méndez.

Her talent was recognized at an early age, earning her invitations to the II Potaje Gitano Infantil de Utrera in 2017 and the first Flamenco Festival of Montpellier in 2021. She has also showcased her art in Miami, appearing twice on the show “Siempre Niños.” Throughout her career, she has shared the stage with distinguished artists such as David and Carlos de Jacoba, Guadiana, José Mercé, La Nitra, and Antonio Canales at Peña Entre Flamencos in Almería.

On stage, she has been part of major events such as the Festival de Jerez and the Bienal de Málaga, where she was a guest performer in Alfredo Tejada’s show “Identidad.” Her talent has also extended to cinema, featuring in productions like “Los Sabios de la Tribu” alongside flamenco legends from Granada such as Pepe Habichuela and Curro Albaycín, who gave her her artistic name. Additionally, she took part in a North American-Japanese film featuring renowned Sevillian artists such as José and Pastora Galván and starred in Antonio Donaire’s 2021 film “Carmen, muerte por un sueño” as well as Teresa Rodríguez’s internationally recognized short film “Su vida vivir.”

In 2022, she reached a new milestone by being mentored by Patricia Guerrero at the Bienal de Sevilla, where she presented her own show with original choreography created by herself.

Claudia Calle García embodies the power, artistry, and passion of pure flamenco, establishing herself as one of the brightest young talents with a promising future
